Facing Addiction in America: New Surgeon General's Report Could be another Landmark

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, MD, MBA, issued a landmark report, "Facing Addiction in America," early Thursday highlighting the scope of the nation's drug and alcohol problem, examining the science, and demanding an evidence-based, integrated public health response. Nondiscrimination Notice Posting Requirements - FAQ Available to Help Physicians with Compliance

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Civil Rights (OCR) recently finalized new nondiscrimination rules intended to advance health equity and reduce health care disparities. Physicians are required to be in compliance with the rule by October 16, 2016. CMA has developed a FAQ resource to help guide members regarding compliance with these requirements.
