Presenters, Linda Tenerowicz and Benjamin Tran from the California Pan Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) conducted a high level overview of the state legislative process and the A to Z of how a bill becomes a law. Presented also covered an overview of opportunities to leverage the policymaking process through advocacy and engagement at the grassroots level. On October 28th, Dr. Kim Newell Green moderated a conversation with Dr. Ellen Chen, COVID-19 Testing Strategy and Healthcare Systems Lead for the CCSF Covid Command Center, Dr. Willi McFarland, SFDPH Director of the Center for Learning and Innovation, Isabel Ochoa, Deputy Director of Operations, Testing Branch, SF COVID Command Center, and Dr. Darpun Sachdev, Clinical Prevention Specialist, Disease Prevention and Control, SF Covid Command Center Director of Case Investigation and Contact Tracing Branch.
