ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Berkeley Physician Leadership Program is a collaborative program of the Alameda-
Contra Costa Medical Association (ACCMA) and the University of California, Berkeley,
and is generously supported by a grant from The Physicians Foundation.
The ACCMA advocates on behalf of more than 4,200 East Bay physicians who are
dedicated to addressing health issues of concern to their colleagues and patients. Since
1860, the ACCMA has sought to improve public health, the quality of the practice of
medicine and patients’ access to care.

UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business is one of the world’s leading producers of new
ideas and knowledge in all areas of business. Its Center for Executive Education fosters
the development of executives who seize opportunities and are driven to maximize the
potential of their organizations and employees. The UC Berkeley School of Public Health
is highly regarded for the quality of its faculty and students, and it has a long track
record of producing effective public health physicians and other health leaders. For
