Prop 29's Edgy Video Attacks Big Tobacco’s Lies

The Yes on Proposition 29 campaign continues to receive a “digital boost” with the release of a YouTube viral video ("California Supports Big Tobacco"). The video exposes the deceitful campaign being waged by Big Tobacco against the June 5 initiative that will raise the price of a pack of cigarettes by one dollar. This extra dollar will only be paid by those who purchase tobacco products. If you don’t smoke, you don’t pay. The extra dollar will fund life-saving research, keep kids from smoking and help smokers quit.

California to help health providers secure Medicaid incentive payments for demonstrating meaningful use.

California has set a goal of having 10,000 eligible health care providers by June receive Medicaid incentive payments for demonstrating meaningful use of certified electronic health records, according to a CMS blog post published recently by National Coordinator for Health IT Farzad Mostashari and CMS Acting Administrator Marilyn Tavenner.
