Deadline extended for pediatric COVID-19 vaccine grant program; apply by July 15

PHC has extended the deadline for its KidsVaxGrant program – which will award grants of up to $15,000 to support Vaccines for Children (VFC) providers providing pediatric COVID-19 vaccines. Applications will now be accepted through July 15, 2022.

A CMA-sponsored law that took effect on January 1, 2022, requires health plans and insurers to cover COVID-19 testing and vaccine administration with no patient cost-sharing, no prior authorization and regardless of the provider’s network status, retroactive to March 4, 2020 .

CMA PPE Relief

Due to the PPE Relief Program's overwhelming success, CMA is extending support to practices and physicians with direct shipment of PPE supplies. As supplies become available, CMA will contact past program participants. If you have questions or would like to register your practice, please email memberservice@cmadocs.org.

The State of California made millions of medical-grade PPE pieces – including N95 masks, surgical masks, shields, gowns, and gloves – available FREE to physician practices. The California Office of Emergency Services partnered with CMA to distribute this equipment to qualifying small and medium-sized medical practices at live events in July and August. CMA is now distributing PPE Relief kits via direct shipment to practices that did not register for the first round of distribution. PPE Relief kits include up to a two-month supply (exact amount may vary by practice size, specialty and location). Questions?  See the FAQ.
