CMA sponsors bill to protect physician practices struggling amid the ongoing pandemic

CMA has partnered with a coalition—including business groups, health care providers and Assemblymember Autumn Burke—to push California to protect the ability of  physician practices who receive Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to deduct eligible expenses on their state taxes.

Due to the PPE Relief Program's overwhelming success, CMA is extending support to practices and physicians with direct shipment of PPE supplies. As supplies become available, CMA will contact past program participants. If you have questions or would like to register your practice, please email memberservice@cmadocs.org.

The State of California made millions of medical-grade PPE pieces – including N95 masks, surgical masks, shields, gowns, and gloves – available FREE to physician practices. The California Office of Emergency Services partnered with CMA to distribute this equipment to qualifying small and medium-sized medical practices at live events in July and August. CMA is now distributing PPE Relief kits via direct shipment to practices that did not register for the first round of distribution. PPE Relief kits include up to a two-month supply (exact amount may vary by practice size, specialty and location). Questions?  See the FAQ.
