Avoid the e-Prescribing Penalty for 2013

The deadline to apply for a Medicare e-prescribing exemption for 2013 is June 30, 2012. If you have not electronically prescribed 10 times with a qualifying physician fee schedule service, you only have a few more weeks to do so. The 2013 payment reduction penalty of 1.5 percent will be determined by e-prescribing activity between January 1 and June 30, 2012.

Prop 29's Edgy Video Attacks Big Tobacco’s Lies

The Yes on Proposition 29 campaign continues to receive a “digital boost” with the release of a YouTube viral video ("California Supports Big Tobacco"). The video exposes the deceitful campaign being waged by Big Tobacco against the June 5 initiative that will raise the price of a pack of cigarettes by one dollar. This extra dollar will only be paid by those who purchase tobacco products. If you don’t smoke, you don’t pay. The extra dollar will fund life-saving research, keep kids from smoking and help smokers quit.
